Singer, Mariah Carey Is Sued By Her Estranged Sister for $1.25M Over Despicable Lies In Her Memoir

Alison, Mariah Carey's estranged sister is suing the star singer for $1.25M over claims that her memoir has caused her "immense emotional distress".

Alison argued that Mariah fabricated stories in her memoir, "The Meaning of Mariah Carey" to market the book. The 59-year old woman also said Mariah lied about her older siblings drugging her with Valium and using her as a child.

In the book, Mariah also stated that one of her mom's boyfriends threatened to kill her and that Alison threw boiling tea on her, all of which Alison claims were untrue.

Alison claims she has been publicly humiliated and profoundly damaged by the alleged family secrets. She stated her younger sister didn't give her a chance to respond to the events in the book.

Alison is now demanding $1.25M for claims of "intentional infliction of immense emotional distress caused by the defendant's heartless, vicious, vindictive, despicable, and totally unnecessary public humiliation of defendant's already profoundly damaged old sister"
